It is hard to believe that a whole year has gone by since infamy attempted to rob Nigeria of both youth and optimism.

There are questions which need no answers. However, there are those to which there are no conceivable answers. This, to me, is what makes many a query the very definition of rhetorical.

Be bothered with.

Like many African kingdoms, prior to being annexed by the British empire in 1897 the Ędo (or Benin) one was ancient, highly organised and thriving. To say that it was utopian is likely a misnomer. But since the western idea of democracy has never translated well in their colonies, by all accounts the citizens were content and the governmental structure worked well. That is of course until the British decided it didn't. Or couldn't.

I've long been amused by the glaring difference in the way that creative folks title and refer to their work, compared with other professionals. It's like plain and simple is anathema to us.
