Stay Frosty
The devil is a liar. Always has been, always will be. And yes, it's scriptural.
Many a saint will tell you that he is also crafty in an I-didn't-see-it-coming sort of way.
Case in point - a certain minister caught manhandling his aide. I defo didn't see that anywhere on the horizon. Though I did the video. Like an octopus In slow motion. Quite extraordinary.
Everyone is up in arms about it, and for good reason. We feel betrayed by the very person who forced separation, loneliness and grief on us.
Unable to see, hug, kiss, visit, care for - or heartbreakingly - bury our loved ones, we were denied both succour and closure.
So, yup... hard not to see why the chief rule maker tripped and fell into last month's most hated person's shoes after a blatantly self-satisfying Covid breach. What I don't get is why the how is less important.
How is being married yet caught in flagrante not a big deal?
Are we still saying "boys will be boys" in 2021?
Have we been hoodwinked?
Or perhaps just gently lulled to sleep...
It's horrible that my cousin died and I couldn't attend his funeral.
That sheer loneliness sent my friend into such a dark place she is yet to emerge.
It sucks that nobody was allowed to get up close and personal during this devastating season.
But we couldn't and didn't and that is time we will never get back.
Concentrating on the irreversible is a classic distraction tactic. Make it all about one big thing so the big something else gets buried. Ergo - no resolution, and ultimately no way to move forward.
Although they are slowly being eroded by our willingness to overlook the uncomfortable, values and character still count. And are very much a part of the life we shall always hold dear.
We owe it to those who have gone before us as well as future generations to ensure they always do.
Which makes this particular American military slang very apt right now.
STAY FROSTY.
Enough said.

They must first prove themselves. Then if no one has anything against them, they can serve as officers. 1 Timothy 3:10 CEV
My Christian friends, I do not think that I have reached that point yet. But this is what I do: I do not think about past things that have already happened. Instead, I try hard to reach the things that are in front of me. Philippians 3:13 EASY
