To he who has

Never heard the truth

Or perchance, unwittingly,

Slidden back to

Unfruitful ways.

The latter

To quicken and correct

The saints

Who having grasped

The message of salvation

Seek further understanding

And true purpose.

Know where to go

When to speak

What to say

To comfort, inspire

Encourage, equip

Bring love

Peace and direction

To every willing heart.

Be it

Street corner, pulpit

Park bench, bus ride

Supper table, pew

Sense the need

Discern how best

To communicate

All the Holy Spirit

Is laying on your heart.

It's format

Words, song

A smile, a hug

Kindly glance

The underrated beauty

Of a comfortable silence

Bolstered by prayer

Forgoing mimicry

Unashamedly being

The envoy God created

For that moment

Providing that which is needed

Right there and then.

Live that life

With all the passion

And pain

With which it was

Given to you

Fully, deeply, intentionally

A bespoke bucket-list

Full to overflowing

God’s people

Awaiting the touch

Only you were assigned

To bring to their

Particular need.

Be someone's

“Personal person”

For no other reason than

Just because

Friend and help-mate

Because you can

Yes!!!

Be both

Legatee and emissary

Gospel expounder

Because you have been

Chosen.
