Primary Colours

We are

none of us

either

black or white.

Nor even

the colour

we each

profess

the other

to be.

I am

a rather

dark brown.

My sister

over there,

hardly pink!

My friends

across the table,

not yellow.

And the dude

in the corner?!

No more

red

than you

and I.

We are all

different

yet very much

the same

beneath

our skin.

My brain

is neither

black

nor

white

nor coloured.

Just various hues

of humanness

and love.

Yours too?

On this International Day

for the Elimination of

Racial Discrimination

and henceforth

let's do what is innate...

Let's love.

Love is more important than anything else. It is what ties everything completely together.
