On Temporal Testings…

Next time you're in a bind

By all means

Take a minute.

Rage, cry

Curl up in a ball

And scream

At the wall

Until it threatens

To crumble.

Then when clarity

Descends once more

And order

Is restored

To your shaken

Yet not obliterated world

Think on the

Whys and wherefores

And how

They show you're

Actually winning;

The constant battles

Signifying you're someone

Worth vying against.

Yes!!!

Mull over this

Truth

Whenever consequent encounters

Send you

To the mattresses.

Square up to

That behemoth

Knowing whatever foot

You put forward

You have

The advantage

In God

And His purpose

For you.

Chains?

Mere ribbons.

Tempests?

Just ripples

On a restless sea.

We win

Because

We follow Him.

📖 The night before Peter was to be put on trial, he was asleep and bound by two chains. A soldier was guarding him on each side, and two other soldiers were guarding the entrance to the jail. Suddenly an angel from the Lord appeared, and light flashed around in the cell. The angel poked Peter in the side and woke him up. Then he said, “Quick! Get up!” The chains fell off his hands, and the angel said, “Get dressed and put on your sandals.” Peter did what he was told. Then the angel said, “Now put on your coat and follow me.”
