How To Get To Why

Everything God says

About us

Is good and true

And already settled

In Heaven.

Our part

In the grand scheme

Of things?

Quite simply to

Worship. Pray. Love.

Breathe love. Be love. Do love.

All the fruits

We struggle to memorise

And "practice"

Just fall into place

With this one verb.

Love.

Because our story

Is one of

Redemption and hope

Not pain or struggle.

So, let's stop

Lugging around

The excess baggage

Of frustration and distraction

That make the journey

More onerous

Than it needs to be,

Robbing us

Of our focus.

On Jesus.

Let Him do

What He does

So spectacularly well -

Saving us from ourselves.

The One who's got the answer

To each and every question

Is more than able.

Breathe.

Smile.

Give thanks.

Be joyfully expectant!

He's always, always

Got you

And will get you

To your "why".
