We're all striving to

Do something meaningful,

Be a person of substance,

Get to a good place...

The how and when?

Very much up to God.

However,

We remain expectant

Even as we imagine that day;

Preparing in advance

To jubilate.

Let's be happy for those

Who get there before us.

Let's celebrate the fact

That they made it.

Let's rejoice with them

As they bask

In the limelight.

Let's cheerfully

Acknowledge

Their achievements

And success.

Because

Our turn will come.

And when it does

There will be more folks

Cheering us on

When we finally

Get there

Than we ever

Dreamed possible!

But until then,

Let's show our elation

For those

Who made it first.

They deserve
