Friends.
Old and new.
Casual and close.
Estranged and forever.
Whatever their
Inclination
Predilection
Disposition
Religion
Or belief
Still friends.
Unless
Sagacity
Hints otherwise
Prompting us
To examine
Thoughts
Feelings
And reasons...
Until
Forever
Wanes in the
Cold, harsh light
Of eternity...
After which,
Fog in abeyance,
We either
Draw near to
Those who align
With purpose
Or sever the
Sentimental ties
Which hold us
Bound and doomed
To foolish ways.
We choose
Not out of
Callousness
Ambition
Or pride
But simply because
The narrow road
Must be traversed
With focus.
Deliberation
Sets the tone.
Determination
Wins the race.
But ultimately
The wisdom
Of God
Factors into
Everything
We do.
And so
We choose well
Knowing how we
Lead our lives
And who we
Lead them with
Is essential
To the part
We play
In His
Timeless equation.
Therefore
Do that
Which you are
Destined to do
Wisely
And in
Good company.
